2) Very clean, low mileage, highly optioned, three owner Corvette. This car is beautiful and the paint nearly flawless. No hit body repainted about ten years ago in original Ontario Orange. Built late December, 1971 and was sold and resided in sunny California (and Arizona) for all but the last two years. Never in snow (except to take photos) and the underside is nearly rust free. To give an accurate description of the overall condition of this car (exterior, interior, paint, engine and undercarriage) is that it appears to be a 5-10 year old vehicle. I have owned several pre 1973 Corvettes and this is the cleanest. Given the condition and information from the previous owner, I am confident that the mileage is original. Specifics: Numbers matching 350 200 hp engine. 3970010 V1208CDH stamping, M-20 4 speed transmission with AA code 3:55 positraction rear end, A-31 Power windows, A-85 Custom shoulder belts, C-50 Rear window defroster, C-60 Air conditioning, J-50 Power brakes, N-37 Tilt-telescopic steering column, N-40 Power steering, U-69 AM/FM radio (not currently with car), Custom interior trim (saddle leather), Luggage rack (factory, flawless). NOTE: The rear window defroster is a very rare option for these cars. According to the Corvette Black Book, only 2,221 of the 20,496 coupes were equpped with it. ALL numbers match with the exception of the carburetor. For some reason, it is a '73 Corvette Quadrajet #7043203, freshly rebuilt 4 years ago. I'm not sure of the alternator, looks like it was replaced. It has a new radiator, new front and rear springs (I replaced the rear, 7 leaf heavy duty), original exhaust tips, newer SS lined brake calipers and brand new T/A tires.(216/65-15). Unfortunately, I do NOT have the jack (handle is in place) or the original AM/FM radio. To be honest, this car will need exhaust in the not too distant future. (no leak, but someone had done a 'cobble job' years back) Other than that, the car needs nothing. Colors from teh trim plate. Built date is E17. 32,295 miles from the odometer. January 3, 2010. 1) Pristine original 1972 Ontario Orange Coupe (T-Tops & removable rear window). Factory Air, PS/PW and P/B. Base 350 motor with 4 speed manual transmission. Numbers matching on all but carburetor (Edelbrock Quadrajet replacement). Car is in all original condition with deluxe leather interior including shoulder belts. Has Mid-America Designs Pioneer replacement cassette and older Jensen 6x9" speakers. Starts and runs well. Paint and interior both in very good condition. Odometer shows 29,740 but probably has more, though not much, as rubber on pedals shows little to no wear and chrome above exhaust is like new. Have some original purchase documentation, including Protecto-Plate, but no window or tank sticker. Car was organically California car and moved to Arizona. Always garage kept. January 13, 2008 |
